BBA Brings Ballet Master Teachers to Mountain View

ONLY FOUR DAYS! Thursday, August 23, 2012,  Friday, August 24, 2012, Saturday, August 25, 2012, Sunday, August 26, 2012. Reservations required. $30 per class/workshop or
$100 for 4 classes/workshops. Classes for pre-ballet 4 and up and all ballet levels.

In the tradition of offering our students and ballet students of the surrounding communities a high quality, uniquely diversified, cross cultural ballet dance education, Inna Bayer has invited Misha Tchoupakov and Regina Zarhina to teach workshops and Master classes at Bayer Ballet Academy.

MISHA TCHOUPAKOV

Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Misha performed with the Bolshoi Ballet, as well as with the Colorado Ballet, Sarasota Ballet of Florida, Los Angeles Classical Ballet, Vienna State Opera Ballet, and San Francisco Opera Ballet.

Misha also holds an M.F.A. in Dance Pedagogy and Choreography from the Moscow State Institute of Choreography and he has taught for Colorado Ballet, Houston Ballet, Oregon Dance Theatre, Ballet West, David Taylor Dance Theatre, State Street Ballet, Ballet Arlington, Guangzhou Ballet of China, and Galili Dance in Netherlands. He was also on the faculty of the Royal Ballet School and the Elmhurst School for Dance in Association with Birmingham Royal Ballet in the UK. Mr. Tchoupakov serves as Rehearsal Director for the YAGP in New York and is an internationally renowned guest teacher. His most recent engagements took him to National Ballet School in Romania, English National Ballet School in UK and he also teaches annually in Japan.

REGINA ZARHINA

Received her initial education in St. Petersburg, Russia. She fortified that with a M.A. in Theatre and Dance from the University of Colorado in Boulder. In Colorado, she ran her own (very distinguished and strictly ballet) school for 10 years.

She then moved to England, and taught at the prestigious Elmhurst School for Dance in association with the Birmingham Royal Ballet. She’s also traveled the world, teaching, coaching and staging ballets extensively in Japan.

Upon returning to America, she became a Professor at the University of Utah, where she now teaches classes in ballet technique, pointe, variations, repertoire, and character dance. She is also the head of the teaching program at the department and lectures on teaching methodologies
